Obituary CHILLICOTHE - Barbara J. Hill, 78, of Chillicothe and formerly of Creve Coeur, died at 1:30 am Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Evergreen Place in Chillicothe, IL. Born on December 25, 1938 in Holly, MI, to O.Z. and Lola Downs Hodge, she married Jerrel Hill Sr. in June of 1955 in Michigan. Surviving are 1 son, J. Dwight (Julie) Hill Jr. of East Peoria, IL, 1 brother, Michael Hodge and 1 sister Florence Hauer, both of the Flint, MI area, 1 grandson, Jeramie (Amanda) Hill of East Peoria, IL, and 4 great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Joey Hill and 2 sisters. Barbara worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 30 years, retiring in 2001. A graveside service will be at 2 pm Friday, November 17, 2017 at Spring Bay Cemetery. Memorials in Barbara's memory may be made to ASPCA, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
