Obituary PEKINa"Barbara J. "Bobby" Derais, 76, of Pekin died at 3:20 PM on Friday, June 10, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born December 17, 1934 in Peoria to Allen J. and Mildred V. Siders Davis, she married Gordon "Woody" S. Derais on Oct 24, 1954 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Sept 19, 2008 in Peoria. Surviving are 4 sons, Scott (Emilyn) of Pekin, Brian (Lynn) of Oviedo, FL, Randall of West Palm Beach, FL, and Brett (Kathy) of Metamora; 7 grandchildren, Eric, Nicole, Rachel, Jared, Jennifer, Kristen and Jamie; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, James (Marilyn) Davis of Peoria and 1 sister, Diana (Don) Hampton of Bartonville; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark and infant daughter, Kimberly and 3 brothers, Richard Davis, John Davis and James Thomas. Barbara and her husband Gordon were owners of Nichols Auto Electric in Peoria. She had also worked for Columbia Rug in Peoria and was a realtor and artist as well. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2104 South 14th Street, Pekin, IL 61554, followed by a gathering of family and friends. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
