Obituary GERMANTOWN HILLS - Arthur R. Rigg, 79, of Washington, formerly of Germantown Hills, died at 9:35 am Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. Born on October 1, 1927 in Nashua, New Hampshire to William and Ruby Morneau Rigg, he married Lois M. Lane on March 19, 194 8 in Marshfield, MO. She survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Jolene (Ron) Fasanello of Middlesex, NJ, Jerrie (Josh) Sosa of Topeka, IL 2 sons, Steve (Judy) Rigg of Susanville, CA, and Don Rigg of Dunlap, IL, 5 grandchildren, William Rigg and Oscar Rigg, both of California, Rick Ivins of Metamora, IL, Gregory Fasanello of New Jersey, and Jenise Rodgers of Washington, IL, and 10 great-grandchildren, Samantha and Alissa Fasanello, both of New Jersey, Justin, Collin, and Ben Rodgers, of Washington, IL, Walter and Vincent Rigg of California, Ryland and Landon Ivins and Brandon Hirth, all of Metamora, IL. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 1 granddaughter, Valerie Jean Fasanello. He was a US Army veteran. He worked as a welder at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the UAW Local #974. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #1115 in Spring Bay. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Mrs. Jennifer Damotte will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery in Metamora. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice or to First Baptist Church in Morton.
