Obituary WASHINGTON - Arthur L. Feigum, 79, of Washington, died at 2:10 am Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. Born on January 5, 1929 in Starbuck, MN to Martin and Rosa Rasmussen Feigum, he married Una Skadsberg on August 23, 1953 in New Brighton, MN. She survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Keith (Melody) Feigum of Washington, Winton Feigum of Hampton, NJ, and Mark (Julie) Feigum of Chippewa Falls, WI, 1 daughter, Jeanine (George) Claypool of Sheboygan, WI, 1 sister, Rose Marie (Bruce) Taylor of Georgetown, TX, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Elvin. Art served as a Sergeant in the US Air Force. Art held several management positions within the transportation industry including 17 years with Dohrn Transfer and ending his career at Lehigh Leopold in Burlington, IA. Art and Una lived in Burlington, Iowa for 32 years, where they were active members of Bethany Lutheran Church. Art served the church in many ways. Art also was active with Kiwanis, Toastmasters, Traffic Club, and RSVP. Most recently they lived in Washington, Illinois where they were members of Faith Lutheran Church. Arthur will be remembered for his strong faith, the love of his family, and appreciation for good friends. Services will be at 10 am Friday, August 29, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastor John E. Rothfusz will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Additional visitation will be from 9:15-9:45 am Friday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund.
