Obituary
Annette R. Catton, 55, of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1:35 P.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Annette was born on April 19, 1961 in Peoria to James "Jim" Sr. and Margaret Tate Valentine.
Annette is survived by her mother, Margaret of Washington; two children, Stephanie and Allen "R.J." Catton, both of Washington; siblings, Jackie (Mike) Hendrick of Antioch and James Valentine Jr. of Newnan, GA; two grandmothers, Ella Tate of East Peoria and Mary Ann Parris of Salem, MO; nieces and nephews, Michael and Matthew Hendrick and Madison and Mackenzie Valentine; and dear friend, Debra Willis Valentine of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim in February 2014; two grandfathers, Millard Tate and Woodrow Parris; and niece, Elizabeth Hendrick.
Annette was a 1979 graduate of Washington Community High School. She later attended ICC. She worked as a loan officer for 33 years at Sunnyland Bank and Morton Community Bank. She last worked for District 50 schools.
Annette was a member of Faith Church in Washington. She was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Peoria Women's Bowling Hall of Fame in 1995. At that time, she was considered the youngest woman bowler to be inducted. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and reading countless books in her free time.
Memorials may be made to Faith Church (VBS fund).
There will be a funeral service for Annette on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00A.M. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Steve Graffis will officiate. There will be a visitation two hours prior to the service, from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00A.M. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
