Obituary METAMORAa"Ann Schubert Ruppman, 92, of Metamora, IL and formerly of Broadview, IL died at 12:45 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Snyder Village in Metamora. Born Oct 9, 1918 in New York City, NY to Albert and Mary Floreans Schubert, she married Herman W. Ruppman on April 21, 1939 in New York; he preceded her in death on February 5, 2003. Surviving are 2 sons, Walter (Joan) Ruppman of Washington and Kurt (Judy) Ruppman Sr. of Allen, TX; 5 grandchildren, Kurt Ruppman, Jr., Kraig Ruppman, Shannon Ruppman Beck, Shelli Ruppman Kranz and Gabrielle Ruppman Edwards; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Nicholas C. Ruppman. Ann had worked as a nurse in the maternity ward and as a clerk at Woolworth in Broadview. She was a person of simple desires and needs who found enjoyment in talking to anyone and everyone, always concerned about others and never about herself. Ann touched so many lives over her 92 years here on earth, and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 27 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Chaplain Mary Jane West will officiate Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
