Ann V. Godwin, 84, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, April 17, at the Loft of East Peoria with her loving family at her side.  Ann was born on March 7, 1942, in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania; the daughter of Eldred and Louise Gettings.  Growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania taught Ann the value of hard work which she carried throughout her life and passed on to her children.  She worked at the Canteen at CAT for 18 years before leaving in 1987, to help her son with his growing business.  Her work ethic continued as she never called in sick and continued to help as long as her health would allow.  Ann loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Ann was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Ann are her children Gary (Jeri) Kieser of Washington and Karen (Al) Wallace of Des Moines, IA, 6 grandchildren: Katie, Travis, Sarah, Austin, Dillon, and Gianna, 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and two husbands Albert Kieser and Pat Godwin.

To honor Ann's wishes cremation rites were accorded by the Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  A private service for Ann will be held at a later date.

Those who wish may leave memorials in Ann's name at the Midwest Food Bank in Peoria.
