Amia K.
Brinkley
Sep 23, 1997 — Jun 4, 2026
Amia K. Brinkley, 28, of Spring Bay, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at her home.
She was born September 23, 1997 in Peoria to Robie G. Jr. and Cherie (Bennett) Brinkley.
Surviving are her mother, Cherie Brinkley of Spring Bay; two sisters, Ashley Littrell of Cave In Rock, Amber (Matt) Williams of Clermont, FL; two brothers, Robie (Morgan) Brinkley of Spring Bay, Kenneth Brinkley of Spring Bay; grandparents, Dean and Linda Peterson of Creve Coeur; five nephews, six nieces; many cousins; two dogs and a lizard. She was preceded in death by her father, Robie G. Brinkley Jr.
Amia worked as a dog groomer and enjoyed that very much. She loved and enjoyed all animals, including her two dogs that were her babies and she loved them deeply. Anyone who knew Amia knew they could always find her somewhere outside, especially by the water. She could out fish anyone she knew…even her brothers.
Amia was a busy-body who loved being with her family and friends. She had a very big heart and was the most loyal and loving, honest friend you could ever have. She would give her last dollar and the shirt off her back to help anyone, even if they had wronged her. Amia was always someone to stick up for you and do the right thing no matter what anyone said or how they felt about it. If she ever saw anyone being mistreated, she was the first one to speak up and befriend you without judgement. She lived her life the way she wanted to without anyone telling her anything different and not caring what anyone thought, and to be able to be a part of her life was an honor.
Amia was very devoted in her role as an Aunt. She loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews, taking them on walks and to the park, night time bike riding, teaching them how to fish, encouraging them to explore the world around them, and helping them develop the same appreciation for things that she did. If there were little kids around, she was the first one over there sitting on the floor coloring with them and then next thing you knew you were seeing her pitch a tent in the yard so they could all have a sleepover with Meme. Her love, patience, and adventurous spirit is something all of her nieces and nephews will carry with them forever.
Amia was very artistic, she could sit down to doodle and end up with an amazing drawing. She was left-handed and she learned how to play the guitar backwards like it was nothing.
She loved her family deeply, and always protected each and every one of them fiercely.
Amia is a beautiful soul, she always will be inside and out.
