Alpha Mardeen Hasten, of Washington, IL, died at 11:38 am Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing in Eureka, IL.

Born on March 12, 1936 in Danville, IL to Francis and Ruth McIntyre McDowell, she was married to Neil B. Hasten from August 1953 to June 1967.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sharon Comeau and nephew, Joe Comeau.

Surviving are 2 sons, Ralph E. (Mary) Hasten of Washington, IL and Brian K. Hasten of East Peoria, IL, and her daughter, Debbie D. Scott of Washington, IL, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She worked in the secretarial field in Danville, Peoria and California and enjoyed crafts and gardening.  She attended St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria and Washington Christian Church.

Private graveside services will be held at Oakhill Cemetery in Danville, IL.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois Chapter.
