Obituary WASHINGTON - Alice M. Tallman, 84, of Washington, IL, died at 6:57 am Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born on August 16, 1927 in McKeesport, PA to Harry and Leolia Long Winkelvoss, she married Russell Charles Tallman on August 12, 1949 in McKeesport, PA. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2012 in Peoria. Surviving are 1 daughter, Kathi Jane (Dennis) Rode of Laporte, PA and 1 son, Randall Joseph (Andrea) Tallman of Kenosha, WI, 2 grandsons, Matthew and Brentt Tallman, 2 step-grandsons, Eric Rode and Clifford Rode, and 6 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Alice worked as a Home Furnishings Buyer at Carson Pirie Scott, and later served as the Housemother at Methodist School of Nursing for 11 years. She was an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington for over 43 years. Visitation will take place from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Cremation Rites will follow and a Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Crossroads United Methodist Church. Pastor Tom Goodell will officiate.
