Obituary WASHINGTON- Alice S. Rolfson, 92, of Washington, formerly of Wausau, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:04A.M. at the Villas of Holly Brook in Washington. Alice was born on February 16, 1923 in Suttons Bay, Michigan to Nikolai and Olava Larsen Ursin. As her parents were Norwegian immigrants, she was proud of her heritage. Early in her life, Alice worked in childcare service as a nanny and at an orphanage. Working as a dental assistant for her future father-in-law, she met and married Robert A. Fuessle on October 30, 1948. They lived in Northbrook, IL, until he preceded her in death on June 21, 1983. In 1990, she married Roald Rolfson in Wisconsin who also preceded her in death in 2006. In 2007, she moved from Wausau, WI to Washington, IL to be close to her one surviving son, Robert (Paula) Fuessle of Washington, IL. She also has one surviving daughter, Lenore Howe of Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James (Lois) Ursin of Wisconsin. Alice was close to her step-daughter, Mary Rolfson. Alice was preceded in death by one other son, Steve Fuessle, her daughter, Kristine Johnson, and her son-in-law, James Howe. In 2013, she lost her home in the Washington tornado, and moved into the Villas of Holly Brook. With all the joys and sorrows of life, she remained steadfast in her Christian faith that she shared with others. She was a member of the Washington Christian Church. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Transitions Hospice, Helping Hands, and the Villas of Holly Brook in Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be an inurnment at Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery in Wittenberg,Wisconsin at a later date. Cemetery Details Cremation Rites have been accorded
