Obituary East Peoria - Alice L. Dunbar, 77, of East Peoria died at 11:00 PM on Sunday March 2, 2014 at Morton Villa in Morton. She was born July 14, 1936 in Virginia, IL to George and Mae Ackerman Stewart. She married Paul Dunbar on August 7, 1954 in Virginia, IL. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1992 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother George Stewart Jr and one sister Ruth Ransom. Surviving are her nephew, Steve (Sheila) Ransom and their daughter Rebecca all of East Peoria. Alice was a homemaker. She enjoyed being outside working in her garden and flower beds. She also enjoyed dining out with her family. There will be a funeral service for Alice on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 3 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor John Rothfusz will officiate. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fondulac Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Morton Villa activities fund.
