Alexander Paul Pantazonis, 54, of East Peoria, passed away at 5:02 pm Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria.

Alex was born on January 16, 1969 in Baltimore, MD to the late Claire (Trombetta) and Byron P. Pantazonis. He married his soulmate, Alexandria Avery, on May 8, 2019 in Peoria

He is survived by his wife, Alex; step-daughter, Jasmine; and his extended family including his parents-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Alex served in the United States Marine Corps. After serving his country, he worked in the hospitality industry in the Baltimore area, serving many celebrity guests before attending Logan University in Chesterfield, MO. After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic, he worked at Nelson Chiropractic for a time before moving to OSF HealthCare, where he met Alex. He eventually became a project manager for UnityPoint Health for 4 years and enjoyed being a tutor for the nursing department at Illinois Central College. He had a very strong faith in Christ and was a member of Great Oaks Community Church in Germantown Hills.

Though impossible to summarize how unique Alex truly was, he lived out his faith as a patient, loving, kind, and supportive husband and dad.

A time to celebrate Alex's life will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington from 5-7:00pm Friday, February 10, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Great Oaks Community Church in Germantown Hills.
