Obituary EAST PEORIAa"Albina "Bea" Sester Christiansen, 88, of East Peoria, died at 1:50 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on May 1, 1919 in St. David, IL, to John and Veronica Radosevich Polich, she married Raymund Sester on June 13, 1942 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1970. She later married Alvin Christiansen on November 30, 1974 in Creve Coeur. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1986. Surviving are 2 daughters, Darlene Michael of Morton, and Diane "Dee" (Omer) Fisher of East Peoria; 4 grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Byrd of Tremont, Denise (Jeff) Benedict of Gridley, Brian Michael of Peoria, Jodie (Mike) Grimm of Morton and 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Eva Stanfel of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Josephine Davis and Dorothy Shelby. For most of her life Bea had been a homemaker, but she had also worked as a hostess for the Ramada Inn in Peoria, retiring in 1974. She had been a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society at Sacre Coeur and later was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria. The funeral service for Mrs. Christiansen will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. Fr. Kenneth Marchulones will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Peoria.
