Obituary
WASHINGTON - Al Kruzan, 78, of Washington, died at 10:45 pm Friday, November 30, 2007 at Eureka Hospital in Eureka.
Born on January 31, 1929, in Decatur, IL to Paul Harold and Ethel Irene Fosnaugh Kruzan, he married Betty A Lilly on October 25, 1953 in Decatur. She survives.
Also surviving are 1 daughter, Valerie Kruzan of Washington,1 son, Brad (Jean) Kruzan of North Smithfield, RI, 3 grandchildren, Derek, Joshua, and Morgan, 1 brother, Kenneth (Jan) Kruzan of Fernandina Beach, FL, 1 sister, Paula (Art) Shutt of Buffalo Hart, IL, and many nieces and nephews and his pet dog, Grady Dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Al was a veteran of the US Marine Corp.
He was a mechanical engineer for over 40 years, working for Starline in Harvard, IL and last working at Flink Mfg. in Streator, IL.
Al was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. He also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Harvard Masonic Lodge AF & AM, the Tebala Shrine in Rockford, and served as a driver for Children going to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital. He also had been a softball coach.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 Am Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Crossroads United Methodist Church. Pastor Tom Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services from 10-11 am Tuesday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded and a burial of cremains will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or to the Crossroads United Methodist Church Building Fund.
