January 27, 1926 ~ April 13, 2017 (age 91)
Milan C. Oselka, 91, of Metamora, passed away at 8:15 am Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his daughter's home in Washington with his family by his side.
He was born January 27, 1926 in Berwyn, IL to Charles and Amelia Moravec Oselka. He married Donna Horne in Pitchin, OH on August 30, 1954. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Traci; three sisters and one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Dave) Clark and Deena (Kevin) Skaja; five granddaughters, Jennifer, Laurie, Erin, Kaitlin and Olivia; two grandsons, Lewis and Levi; and four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Malachi, Vienna, and Aria.
Milan was a United States World War II Army Veteran. He worked as a nuclear physicist at the Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont before retiring.
He was a member of the West Suburban Community Band.
Memorials contributions may be made to Snyder Village in Metamora.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
