Keith W. Feigum, 62, of Washington, passed away at 7:52pm, Friday December 16, 2016 at home with his family.
Keith was born June 30, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur L. and Una Skadsberg Feigum. He married Melody Smith on October 9, 1976 in Fort Richardson, AK.
Surviving is his wife, Melody; daughters, Dana (Steve) Polhemus, Heather (Shane) Smith, and Niki (John) Hartig; grandchildren, Brendan; Jacob, Jordan; Haley and Tyler; mother, Una Feigum; siblings, Winton and Mark Feigum, and Jeanine Claypool; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends who were like family.
Keith graduated from Washington Community High School in 1972 and later served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1979. He was trained as a diesel mechanic, retiring from Caterpillar, Inc. in 2009. Keith was a proud member of UAW Local 974 and a volunteer member of the Washington Fire and Rescue Squad. He loved woodworking, fishing and duck hunting. More recently, he enjoyed cooking, especially shopping for the ingredients and his aquatics class at Five Points. He was also trained as a Stephen Minister at Crossroads United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated husband, dad, and grandpa.
A funeral service for Keith will be held at 11:00am Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 4-6:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Pastor Jason Woolever will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
