Brice E. Bain

September 22, 1952 ~ July 12, 2017 (age 64)
Brice E. Bain, 64, of East Peoria, passed away at 6:50am, July 12, 2017, at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL.

He was born September 22, 1952, in Peoria, IL to E. Fenton and Darlene O. (Cottle) Bain. He married Kimberly A. (Petri) Bain on May 25, 1974, in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are his wife Kimberly; children Emily (Nicoli) Thompson and Nicholas Bain (fiancée Sydney Moler); grandchildren; Madison and Rhett Thompson; siblings, twin brother Bruce Bain, Mark (Mary K.) Bain, Keith Bain (Israel).

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Fenton A. Bain; his son, Christopher Bain and daughter, Erin Bain.

Brice graduated from Bradley with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering then earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration. During the summer he worked at Caterpillar, and when he graduated, he was hired and worked at Caterpillar for 33 years. Brice had a special relationship with his two children. Emily could talk him into anything. He coached "Odyssey of the Mind" for several years so Emily could participate. The team was always ranked highly. Brice also loved to coach any sport in which Nick was involved. When Nick wanted to play soccer Brice went to a bookstore and bought every soccer book he could find to learn the rules of the game, in order to coach Nick's team. He was a "diehard" Cub Fan and was elated when they finally won the World Series. His main passion was his family and his Church. He was a member of First Christian Church of Peoria all of his life. He loved his church and held various positions. He was honored to receive the title of Elder Emeritus.

The family is very grateful for the care he received from the Snyder Village staff and OSF Hospice team.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Monday, July 17, 2017 at First Christian Church of Peoria. Visitation will be from 5pm-7:00pm Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Additional visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Reverend Karen Merrick will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Peoria.
