Raymond V. Noe

November 21, 1928 ~ April 23, 2018 (age 89)

Raymond V. Noe, 89, of Washington, was reunited with the love of his life after 16 days without her when he passed away at 7:25pm Monday, April 23, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.

Ray was born November 21, 1928 in Woodford County to George A. and Catherine Kneip Noe. He married Phyllis G. MacRae on October 9, 1954 in Peoria, and they spent 63 wonderful years together until she passed away April 7, 2018.

Surviving are their children, Diane (Robbin) Goings of Mt. Zion, John and James Noe of Peoria, and Michael (Pam) Noe of Morton; grandchildren, David (Dee) Goings of Jacksonville, Sarah (Josh) Terrian of Lovington, Christina Goings of Forest Park, and Michael Ice of Peoria; great-grandchildren, Katie, James, and Julia; and his siblings, Josephine Stalzer of Madison, SD, Tony (Sheila) Noe of Marquette Heights, and Ralph (Carol) Noe of Springfield.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Noe; six brothers and one sister.

Ray served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 and was stationed in Germany. He went on to work for Bemis Bag Co., retiring in 1987 after 38 years of service. In his retirement, he enjoyed operating his small lawn care business until 2003. He was a member of the Bemis 20 Year Club and the club at PARC. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington and formerly a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Peoria.

The family would like to thank the staff of Transitions Hospice and Rosewood Care Center for the special care they gave their father.

Ray’s funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington; Father Stephen Willard will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30pm Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Transitions Hospice.
