Germantown Hills – Karen K. Kipfer, 55, of Germantown Hills, passed away at 3:20 pm Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Born June 3, 1963 in Pekin, IL to Donald J. and Darlene D. Dircks Payton, she married Gregory E. Kipfer on Oct. 29, 2004 in Pekin, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her three daughters, Trisha Davidson of Peoria, Nicole (James) Duncan of Creve Coeur, Angel (Kenny) Crew of Victoria; one son, Garrett (Nichole) Kipfer of Pekin; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Faye (Jeff) Matejewski of Pekin, Christine (James) Brenner of Greenville, OH, Diana (Joe) Fuller of Thayer, MO, Deborah Payton of LaPorte, IN; one brother, Donald (Christy) Payton of Buffalo, MO; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She was in the dry cleaning industry for over 15 years. She was the “biggest” Chicago Cubs fan her whole life. She was known to friends and family as “Mama K”. Her kids and grandkids were her life. She was full of love and laughter and truly lived by the words. She was kind and generous and to know her was to love her. Her words and wisdom were never in short supply. She was loved by many and will be missed by all…….But First Coffee……
Cremation rites have been accorded. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
