Jerry Wethington

January 31, 1945 ~ May 10, 2018 (age 73)

Gerald “Jerry” E. Wethington, 73, of Mackinaw, passed away at 11:26pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 31, 1945 in Owensboro, KY to Thomas and Eula Goodall Wethington; they preceded him in death. 

Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Patty of Mackinaw; three sons, Casey of Mackinaw, Gerry and Doug both of Spokane, WA; one brother, Tom of Mt. Carmel, TN; three sisters, Linda (Denny) Rose of Ft. Myers, FL, Sandy (Rick) Johnson of Decatur, and Judy Phillips of Rockford; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one grand-doggie.

Jerry served four years in the US Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. He was a tool and die maker at Caterpillar for 16 years and worked at other machine shops in the area. For the last few years, he was a grounds keep at Blue Grass Creek Golf Course. He loved golfing and Texas Hold Em. He could make or fix anything. Jerry was a wonderful husband and father. One of the greatest joys in his life was making others smile.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory, Washington is serving the family.
