Gloria Marie Everett, 87, of Washington passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Braselton, GA.

Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her husband of more than 65 years, John W. Everett, Sr., her daughter, Carol Marie Thomas, and brother, Charles J. Bour.  Before returning to Illinois, a remembrance of life was celebrated on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home in Snellville, GA.

For many years, Mrs. Everett enjoyed the planning and decorating of various events and celebrations, assisting many with floral arrangements, beaded decorations and ornaments.  She enjoyed crafting, bowling, fishing, traveling and baseball if the Cubs were playing.  She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Washington and an associate member of the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation in Valley City, ND.

Mrs. Everett is survived by her children, Sharon Kemp of Snellville, GA, Connie (Gary) Rogers of Lawrenceville, GA and John W. Everett, Jr. of Atlantic Beach, FL; one sister, Dianne M. Shiels; nine grandchildren, Robert T. Burton of Illinois, Brian Howe of Georgia, Sherrie (Tony) Corder of Illinois, Kevin (Jennifer) Howe, Kerrie (Eric) Byles, Elizabeth Kemp, Scott Rogers, Kristofer Kemp and Jeffrey Kemp all of Georgia; 16 great-grandchildren, Robert T. Burton, III, Jaime Burton, Darien Swanson, Cayenne Swanson, Frankie Nelson, Cody Corder, Tristian Corder, Gage Corder, Mandy Miller, Claudia Hoff, Skye Howe, Andrew Byles, Olivia Kemp, Gabriella Byles, Benjamin Byles and Mary Everett Kemp; and two great-great grandchildren, Jacob Orion and Mallory Miller.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St Patrick Church in Washington.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
