WASHINGTON – Charlotte Ann Mosher, 89, of Washington, IL, died Sunday, October 7, 2018.
Born on August 31, 1929 in Elgin, IL to Richard and Anne Finley. She married John Grant “Jack” Mosher on January 16, 1954 in Maple Park, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are 6 daughters; Sara Ellen (Robert) Ahten, Martha Ann “Marty” (John) Johnsen, Amy Marie (Ross) Davis, Elizabeth Mary “Betsy” (Larry) Wanat, Molly Suzanne Mosher and Laura Kathleen (Tim) Berlett; 1 sister, Rosemary Kennedy, 11 grandchildren, Grant (Laura) Ahten, Jonathan Ahten, Jared (Rachel) Johnsen, Jordan Johnsen, Tyler (Stacy) Davis, Morgan (Hailey) Ahten, Kari (Jordan) Myers, Carly (John) Sanderson, Jacob (Valerie) Johnsen, Jack Berlett, Ryan Berlett; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Robert; 1 son-in-law; 1 grandson; 3 brothers-in-law; and 4 sisters-in-law.
Charlotte worked as a Medical Technologist prior to her marriage, but her most cherished career was that of being a wife, mother, and raising her family. She was a member of St. Patrick Church for 65 years, where she was involved in the Women’s Guild and Pastoral Care. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at OSF St. Francis for 20 years. Charlotte loved being outdoors and enjoyed the changing seasons while tending to her garden.
Funeral Mass for Charlotte will be at 11 am Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at St. Patrick Church in Washington with Fr. John Steffen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick School.
