Mauschbaugh, 90 of East Peoria died at 3:05 AM Monday October 31, 2011 at Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan. She was born on October 21, 1921 in Watertown, SD to Archie and Hattie Wahler Langdon. She married William B. Mauschbaugh on September 23, 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2006. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Alice is survived by two sons, Lee of East Peoria and Lenny(Mary) of Sleepy Hollow, one daughter Kimberly(Marvin) Gerdes of Gridley, four grandchildren, Maggie(Bryan) Thompson, Jesse(Josenia) Gerdes, Jennifer(Blake)Ng and William Mauschbaugh. She is also survived by two great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Lillian Anderson, Marion Langdon and Lorraine Boer all of Sioux Falls, SD. Alice was a homemaker and worked part time at East Peoria Cleaners. She was also an election judge for Fon Du Lac Township for 30 years. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. There will be a funeral service for Alice on Friday at 10:00 AM at her church. The Reverend Barry Long will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery. Memorials: Memorial Contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan or to OSF Hospice.
