Anderson Date: September 23rd, 1924 - March 4th, 2010 Obituary: EUREKA--Marcella Anderson, age 85, of Eureka, formerly of Washington, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday March 4, 2010 at Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. Marcella was born September 23, 1924, in Springfield, IL, to Martin F. and Julia (Reichert) Kelly. She married Ernest E. “Bud” Rhoades on October 4, 1947 in Springfield, IL. He died September 15, 1955 at age 30. She then married Paul L. “Andy” Anderson on December 10, 1960. He died October 16, 1998. Surviving are two sons, John M. Rhoades and Robert D. (Sandra) Rhoades both of Washington; daughter Kristine K. (Edwin) Page of Cary, North Carolina; step-daughter Paula Templeton of Peoria; several grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen Anderson of Rockford, Illinois. One daughter, Janet M. (Steven) Sluyter of Algoma, Wisconsin preceded her in death. Marcella was employed in accounting at Illinois Bell Telephone in Springfield. After moving to Terre Haute, Indiana she was secretary to Dr. Glenn Mory of Glas-Col Manufacturing Company. Marcella was extremely fond of all of the nurses, aides and staff at the Apostolic Christian Home. Cremation rites have been accorded through Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
