Born on April 21, 1938 in Oblong, IL to Ralph and Sylvia Shryock Cravens, she married Roger K. Bomer on July 27, 1957 in Oblong. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2009 in East Peoria, IL. Surviving are 3 daughters; Glenda (Rick) Grashoff, Cheryl (Legacy) Linton, and Debbie (John) Parlier all of East Peoria;2 sisters, Cindy Cravens of San Antonio, TX, Elaine (Dan) Burson of Seattle, WA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers. Donna was a very special grandma who enjoyed her grandchildren and spent many hours volunteering as their babysitter. She also enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and reading. She worked as a CNA at Tazewell County Nursing Home for 5 years until it closed. Donna then worked for 25 years at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL. She was a member of Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria where funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, February 20, 2010. Pastor Tom Myers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Burial will be in Groveland Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorials: Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund or to Harbor Light Hospice.
