Name: Raymond Landry Date: April 25th, 1913 - January 30th, 2010 Obituary: Raymond J. Landry, 96, of Washington, IL, died at 7:25 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on April 25, 1913 in Salix, Iowa to Elzear and Emma Robin Landry. Raymond married Alice Murphy on August 18, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa. She survives. Also surviving is 1 son, Dennis (Wanda) Landry of Washington, IL; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brian) McCaw of Beaumont, TX, Cristina (Brian) Fitzgerald of Pittsburg, PA, Knute Landry of Peoria, IL; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Theresa Green of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Raymond’s family would like to thank the staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and especially Dr. Matthew Mischler for Raymond’s care. Raymond was a farmer in Salix, Iowa. After retiring, he moved to the Florida Keys were he held several retirement jobs. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington where services will be on Thursday at 10:00 AM with visitation 30 minutes prior to services. Father Joseph Donton will officiate. Committal will take place at Meadow Valley Center in Washington and cremation rites will follow. Inurnment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date.
