WASHINGTON – Lillian Veronica Certalic, 98, of Washington, IL died at 11:33 am Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. Born on August 13, 1911 in Oshkosh, WI to John and Mary Elsie Tate Heber, she married Joseph Frank Certalic on November 21, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1986 in Peoria, IL. Surviving are 5 daughters, Wanda (Donald) Burroughs, Cathern (Charles) Koonce and Rosa Lee (Fred) Ripper, all of Washington, IL, Mary Jane (Robert) Mestrich of Orange Park, FL and Sylvia (Talmadge) Self of Faulkville, AL, 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 sister. Lillian ran Certalic Flower Gardens in Washington and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Father Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be from 10-11 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
