"Maggie" Clelland Date: November 27th, 1936 - December 27th, 2009 Obituary: WASHINGTON-Mary M. “Maggie” Clelland, 73, of Washington died at 7:45 AM on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her residence. She was born on November 27, 1936, in Peoria to Frank and Mary Gdula Lesch. She married Richard L. Clelland on May 4, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois. He survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Tracy (David) Bowles of Peoria Heights and Kelly (Ronald) Yingling of Washington; and 3 grandchildren Casey Lee, Carly Jean, and Margaret Grace. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters. Mary was the first car hop at Lou’s Drive-In in Peoria. She was an avid bowler and was a secretary at WABCO for many years. She loved St. Monica’s Catholic Church where she was a member and Lecter. A funeral mass for Mary will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in East Peoria. The Rev. Fr. Ken Marchulones will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. A visitation will be held an hour prior to services also at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
