Georgina Barnhill, 70, of Washington passed away at 9:23 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born in Botsford Parish, New Brunswick, Canada on September 21, 1939 to Duncan and Janet (Lennon) Grant. She married Richard S. Barnhill on July 1, 1961 in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, Canada. He survives. Also surviving are one son Duncan S. (C.J.) Barnhill of Arizona; one daughter Tracie Georgina (Wayne) Carey of Washington; one grandson Grant Thomas Carey of Washington; and one sister Alice Betty Rustin of Toronto, Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents. From 1989-1999 Gina was the Social Service Director at the Ford County Nursing Home in Paxton, IL. She attended Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington where she was a member of the M&M’s group. A service to celebrate the life of N. Georgina Barnhill will be held at 9 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. Pastor Tom Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
