She was born on November 27, 1942 in Carrier Mills, IL to Bennie and Myrtle (Durbin) Martin. She married Larry W. Belcher on May 3, 1990 in Eureka, IL. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2009. Her survivors are 2 step-daughters Doria (Bob) Young of Goodfield, IL and Meredith Belcher of York, NE; step-son Joe Belcher of Pekin, IL; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Peggy worked for Clark Oil for several years throughout the Peoria area. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus, loved reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling to Florida. She will be remembered as a good person. A service to celebrate the lives of Peggy and her husband Larry will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Evan Williams will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will also be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
