Hill, 70, of Washington passed away at 4:37 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born January 28, 1939 in Lima, OH to Arlie and Cora (Webb) Piehl. She married William Eugene Hill on October 18, 1958 in Peoria. He survives. Other survivors are 2 sons William Arlie Hill of Florida and Larry (Kim McGraw) Hill of Goodfield; 2 brothers Arlie Piehl and Don Piehl both of Ohio; sister Dorothy Hervey; and 6 grandchildren Megan, Caitlin, Danielle, Matt, and Brian and Patrick Pienkos. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Lester and Harold Piehl, and 2 sisters Gladys Hall and Maxine Jones. Carolyn worked for Hiram Walker for 15 years, Lawson Label in East Peoria, Jolliff Transportation and Risinger Brothers Transfer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also loved shopping, especially with her grandkids. A service to celebrate the life of Carolyn will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 1 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Mark Westman will officiate. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery following the services. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, June 4 also at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorials in her name may be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
