Dehart, 61, of Washington died on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 12:37 PM at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Linda Burns was born on Sept. 16, 1947 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She married Lawrence “Larry” Dehart on Nov. 17, 1995 in Washington. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Unia McBride, of Washington; one son Stephen (Melissa) Renken of Clayton, NC; two step-daughters Shelly (Jason) Shallenberger of Morton and Julie Dehart of Kappa; four sisters Kathy Lynch of Windsor, MO, Ellen McBride of GA, Joyce Bryson of FL and Karen Yount of East Peoria; three grandchildren Dylan and Colin Renken and Carter Shallenberger. She was preceded in death by her father , Warren McBride and one infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Renken. Linda was a nurse in the Peoria area for over 40 years. She was in the first LPN class to graduate from ICC in 1969, later becoming an RN through ICC in 1992. She worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Methodist Medical Center, and Proctor Hospital, all in Peoria, as well as Rosewood Nursing Home in East Peoria, last working in 2005. She was a member of Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria. A graveside service for Linda will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Pastor Tom Myers will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
