Name: Ruth L. Yackle Date: March 31st, 1933 - July 2nd, 2012 Obituary: East Peoria – Ruth L. Yackle, 79, of East Peoria passed away at 4:59 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Morton Villa Care Center. Ruth was born on March 31, 1933 in Quincy, IL to the late Jesse and Lavita Whitaker Balzer. She married Franklin Yackle, her loving husband of almost 62 years, on July 8, 1950 in Hannibal, MO. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters and one son, Shirley Wenzler of California, Michael (Jacquetta) Yackle of Washington, IL and Anna Yackle of Wheeling, IL; 5 grandchildren, Deona D’Avilla, Carie Yackle, Nathaniel Yackle, Ceili Boylan and Franklin Wenzler; 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Bohon of Nacogdoches, Texas. Ruth was a very spiritual woman and she and her husband formed the Church of Harmony in Peoria. She was also a Psychic Medium, who for many years did private readings for people and attended psychic fairs. Ruth was a member of the psychic circuit and still had many followers seeking her insight. She was also an artist and enjoyed painting. Honoring Ruth’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded and no services will take place at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory of East Peoria. Memorials in Ruth’s memory can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
