Martha E. “Marty” Patton, 86, of East Peoria died at 12:44 AM on Sunday June 10, 2012 at Morton Villa in Morton. She was born December 5, 1925 in Peoria to William H. and Lillian Lichtenberger Foster. She ironically married another William H. Foster in 1945. She later married Carlos Patton in 1969. She is survived by one daughter; Sandra Foster of Bartonville, two sons; David (Ellen) Foster of Colorado Springs, CO, and William Foster of Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Patrick (Bobbi) Ertl, Katrina (Marshall) Brookover, Sarah (Keith) Gabrielse, Maria (Mark) Moore, Abigail Foster, Nicole Foster and Julie Foster, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers; Paul (Bonnie) Foster of East Peoria and Robert (Elizabeth) Foster of Green Valley, and two sisters; Betty (Ray) Caho of Brimfield and Dolly (Hiram) Davis of Morton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Eva and Marie, two brothers; George and Don and her fiancé William “BC” Conroy.
Marty worked in the Food Service Industry most of her adult life and was the owner of the former Keyboard Restaurant in East Peoria for several years. She enjoyed attending area auctions, building and remodeling at her home, fishing and card playing with her family, and she adored her pet dogs. She attended Richland Baptist Church in East Peoria. She was a faithful Christian witness, always and readily sharing her faith and love for Jesus Christ, and giving God the glory for all the good things in her life. She was well loved by her many friends and extensive family, and will be sorely missed by the many whose lives she touched.
There will be a memorial service officiated by Pastor Gary England on Saturday June 16,, 2012 at 11AM at Richland Baptist Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. Cremation has been accorded, as per Marty’s request. Burial of cremains will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
